I’m going to be honest with you. I became interested in developing my intuition because I wanted to avoid ever making a mistake again. I visited my first psychic after being dumped by a guy who I thought was going to marry. I really felt like my intuition was telling me that this was my person. When he broke up with me, I needed to understand intuition from an expert, so obviously I visited a psychic!
This psychic encouraged me by telling me that anyone could be intuitive — including myself. She introduced me to a whole world of books and I began to study. I was fascinated and couldn’t wait to predict my entire life!
As my intuition developed, I didn’t necessarily gain all the answers, but what I did gain was trust in myself. I was willing to bet on myself even when I wasn’t 100% sure what the outcome would be. I learned that not everything could be predicted, but through studying myself, I learned to trust myself enough to make big leaps.
The reason we develop self trust when we develop our intuition is because we learn to tune into energy, which is much more honest and predictable than listening to people or organizations tell us what we should want or think. Intuition requires us to go inward and hear the subtle cues and messages that we are constantly receiving, but we don’t always hear because of the loud world we live in.
